Really a nice short story,,see the difference still the poor fellow knows him but that man was not able to recognise him…some time we forget great things its ok but we should not forget our old frnds….

આજે અચાનક જ આ સાઈટ પર આવી ચડ્યો ને જુલાઈ ૧૯૯૬ માં”નવનીત-સમર્પણ ” માં પ્રગટ થયેલી મારી જ વાર્તા “ટ્રક ડ્રાઈવર ” જોઈને નવાઈ લાગી. આપ સૌને ગમી એથી ખૂબજ આનંદ થયો. આ વાર્તા લખ્યા પછી વાર્તાઓ ખાસ લખી નથી. પણ આપ સૌના પ્રતિભાવોથી ફરીથી જોર ચડે તો નવાઈ નહીં.
સૌનો આભાર. આપ સૌની સાથે મિલાપ કરાવવા બદલ રીડગુજરાતી.કોમ ને પણ ધન્યવાદ. ફિર મિલેંગેં.

LOL… Simple yet very wonderful story. I had very semilar expreience when I went to India in 2006. All my friends (from school time) and I went out to dinner one night and we bumped into one of our old school friends. He saw me and said OH Chirag, kem che yaar? Amarican babu – desi chokri jova aavya che? I just smiled and kept looking at him – I didnt know who he was!!!! – To my surprise, he realized that and said, Sala (gaar) bhagat – bhuli gayo? Yaad che, Baroda High School ni Cricket match maa te ek chokra ne bhu marelo – tane Maa/Ben parthi gaar aapi thi?!?!?! – and I screamed – AFZAL – and he said, Have yaad aayu vilayti babu ne – and we hugged as friends – I told him I am so sorry for not knowing it was him – he said, tane to aakhi duniya ma gametya – game tyare oalkhi nahu – mane tara jetlo maar to koie nathi mariyo… And I looked down in shame…. He put his arm around my shoulder and said, pan bhai – bhul mari hati…
